Product and Collaboration Applications

Hurrah! It's the 4th week of Instructional Technology and I have about 1 week left to complete this course. In this week, I learned and explored more product and collaboration applications that I can use in my profession. I find it interesting to compare each product from each other and give my thoughts on what I could use best with my students. I could also share this comparison chart with my colleagues and have them try the applications at their own pace.

What intrigued me the most are the different virtual whiteboards that I could use. I haven't used any of them before, so I am excited to use them with my students. I normally use the whiteboard tool on BlackBoard Ultra for remote learning, but it's hard to monitor students when they start writing/drawing randomly. Since these applications look more student-friendly, I'll give them a shot.



I tried using Mindomo and Padlet before. Coggle is new tool for me, so I'll definitely give it a try. When I browsed its platform and explored its features, I needed more time to be familiar with it. It had interesting tools that could make mind maps more engaging.


Canva and PosterMyWall are my usual go-to's when I need my presentations to look simple yet professional. Easelly and PiktoChart will be the next applications that I need to familiarize myself with. This will help me widen my knowledge of possible templates that my students and I could use to make appealing presentations.

    I totally agree on what you said. I was surprised to found out that there are different virtual whiteboards to use in class. I will explore it more so that I can share it with my students and colleagues. I believe this will help us to have more collaborative works with our students and others.
