BLENDSPACE: THE ONLINE CLASSROOM BLENDER
Blendspace is a web tool that engages users to
create lessons from dragging or blending
in resources by searching, inserting
or uploading different media from YouTube, Google Web and Images, Flickr, Gooru,
Google Drive, Dropbox and your computer. It allows teachers and students to
gather, comment and share online resources. A good feature about it is that we
are able to add a quiz, monitor the students’ progress and include Common Core
Standards.
Blendspace lets you create lessons within five
minutes! Users may gather online resources in one place and share with just a
single link at ease. Blendspace offers unlimited classes and has two specific
subscription plans: Blendspace Free and Blendspace Premium. Just like other web
tools, the first plan is free but has limited access to some other tools such
as limited students and active lessons. Meanwhile, Blendspace Premium allows
users to have unlimited students, unlimited active lessons, account
administration features, voice comments, private webinar training and priority
email. However, Blendspace Premium costs $4 monthly. Just like the usual web
tools, secure internet connection is a must to enjoy using Blendspace.
Blendspace, all in all, is an online and
interactive lesson that makes a good blend for online classroom discussions and
project ideas. For Blendspace newbies, check out its huge digital presentations
shared publicly for guides and resources. I am pretty sure that you will enjoy
surfing the net with Blendspace just like how it made me hooked into it.
