Instructional Technology Course Reflection
Instructional Technology Course Reflection
When I first took this course and looked at its syllabus, I thought that I already accomplished the same content as a previous course. As weeks progressed, it was a great refresher to revisit basic skills of technology and revisit online platforms that are beneficial for a classroom setting. It also turned out that there are more educational platforms that I haven't explored yet. These new digital resources hooked my interest to discover more of what technology has to offer. I was able to try out new interactive websites aside from what I already know and have been using.
During the challenging times in keeping face-to-face student engagement, the significance of technology became the reigning glory of this era. Education relied so much on the power of technology to keep its goal of "students first." Teachers then became more innovative and creative to keep student engagement no matter the distance.
Courses like these are definitely beneficial for all educators to take especially traditional teachers who are having a hard time adjusting to the modern way of teaching. Teachers could also use the content of this course to teach their own students the awareness of the proper usage of technology.
Overall, this course was able to meet my expectations. It was quite challenging to stay on top, but it was fulfilling to participate and collaborate with fellow colleagues.
